University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) was established in 2003. The permanent campus of the university is at Bhatara in Dhaka. Presently 10 subjects are being taught in 4 faculties. Innovative learning opportunities

Students of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE) Department of Information Technology and Science University are very busy now. They are working on their final year projects. In the meantime, the students got an opportunity to see the project-Electro-Mechanical Ventilator. Abu Bakar Siddique, Adil Adnan, Kazi Emdad, Atiqur Rahman, Mazharul Islam, Shariful Islam Chowdhury and Shobhan Islam made low-cost ventilators. Titumir, a member of the team, said that ventilators used in the treatment of corona are expensive.

Our ventilators are very affordable. I made a ventilator for 18-19 thousand taka. Emphasis is placed on developing practical knowledge of students in all departments of the university. Teachers are focusing on what students are learning in the classroom to solve different problems in real life. So Sheikh Sadi, another student of EEE Department, developed 'Automatic Hand Sanitizing Device'.
