After a long year and a half, the library of Dhaka University has opened. After opening the library from 10 am on Sunday, students can enter the library by showing at least one dose of corona vaccine certificate and university identity card at the gate. However, no book can be taken from outside the library


At the Dhaka University Syndicate meeting on September 16, it was decided that the university's libraries and seminar libraries would be open to undergraduate and postgraduate fourth year students from 10 am to 5 pm today, subject to at least one dose of vaccination certificate. And valid university credentials. Under the same conditions, the students of these two years will be picked up from 8 am on October 5.



According to the decision, the university library (including the science branch) and the seminar library of the department-institute have been opened from this morning. The main entrance to the library is marked with circular marks every three feet for students to enter according to their physical distance. First the students have to enter by showing the ticker certificate and identity card. Then the body temperature inside is being checked. Inside the gate are masks, hand sanitizers and hand washing facilities for students.


 

It can be seen on the ground that the library officials are keeping a close watch on the implementation of hygiene and university decisions at the entrance of the library. In the morning some students line up and enter the library. Students keep coming for a while. No one is allowed to enter the library with books from outside. Vaccine certificate and identity card are being verified. Other students are not allowed to enter the fourth year undergraduate and postgraduate classes.

From today, five days a week (Sunday-Thursday) the library of Dhaka University and the seminar library of the department-institute will be open. However, at this stage, undergraduate and postgraduate fourth year students will have the opportunity to study there. Students of other years will also get the opportunity to study step by step.



The professor who is studying the job seekers in the library of Dhaka University is usually in charge of the library. Nasiruddin Munshi said that even if the library is opened from today, undergraduate and postgraduate fourth year students will be able to study academically there. Job books, food, etc. from outside cannot be taken to the library.
